The Red Lancers

Hoi,

After reading a period diary, written by a Dutch Red Lancer Captain, I thought it time to include this illustrious regiment for the Garde Imperiale.

The figures, of course are Zvezda's Polish lancers of the Guard, but they can double as the Dutch Red Lancers anyway. This is the 3rd regiment I'm depicting using these figures and they are a delight to paint.

Cheers Sander

Superbly painted Lancers, Sander. Zvezda sculpts are of the highest quality and your brushwork has done them justice. Best, Dean

I'm very sorry but the duch red lancer regiment is the second one.
A 3° lancer regiment of the imperial guard will be raised in poland just before the russian campaign and will be fully lost after the crossing of the Niemen river, surprised during a night by a cossack party.

@Dean: thanks for the kind words.

@Patrick: yes that's true, what I meant to say is that I have painted 3 regiments using Zvezda figures. The Polish Lancers, the Lanciers de Berg and this regiment making them the 3rd regiment I have painted up...

Follow that? I don't think I possibly could...but you've inspired me to try. Excellent work and thanks for sharing.

Those Zvezda figures are wonderful and you have painted them beautifully.
(I'm treading a similar path, but only have the Berg lancers done so far!

They're absolutely stunning, especially that you paint so detailed at such a small scale.
